Booking and Operation
Booking one of our mobile health units is simple: contact the team to request the service you need and arrange on-site services in a mobile health unit. Once on-site, our unit has a quick setup time, minimising disruption to your daily operations.
Inside the Van
Once inside, you’ll find a clean, welcoming environment tailored to your health surveillance tests. The unit can comfortably accommodate 2 adults, but can fit up to 3 adults if a technician participates for training and shadowing.
On-Site Operation Requirements
- Setup Time: Approximately 15 minutes.
- Required Space Width: 6’7″ (200 cm) Height: 10’2″ (310 cm) Length: 20’4″ (620 cm)
- Power: The unit requires a standard 13-amp household plug socket within meters of the parked unit. For sites without power, 37 out of 47 units have inverters and can operate autonomously.
- Cost: There is an additional charge for deploying a Mobile Health Unit.
- Flexibility: While we will always strive to accommodate last-minute requests, any need for additional assessments on the day will depend on the technician’s existing schedule.
Data Security and Compliance
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards for data security and regulatory compliance, ensuring the privacy and protection of all patient information.
- All data transfer is completed through the technician’s secure laptop, utilising VPNs and firewalls to protect against breaches.
- Our process is paper-free; all patient information is stored and transferred digitally, securely, and in compliance with GDPR requirements. All technicians are trained to uphold these standards.
- The units meet all specific regulatory and industry standards.
- All mobile health units undergo regular MOTs and servicing to ensure safety and hygiene.
Accessibility and Emergency Preparedness
While the units are designed to be highly mobile and can reach challenging or remote locations, it’s important to be aware of certain accessibility limitations. We prioritise safety and have protocols in place for emergencies, though our technicians are focused on delivering occupational health.
- Accessibility: Unfortunately, the units are not wheelchair accessible. If an employee requires this, please notify us during the booking process so we can arrange an alternative solution.
- Emergencies: All units are equipped with first aid kits and space for an individual to lie down if necessary. In a serious emergency, technicians are trained to follow site-specific procedures and advise calling emergency services immediately. Our technicians are not trained in CPR or medical first aid.
