The Process
From Enquiry to On-Site in Days
We make deployment simple. Your dedicated account manager handles everything, from baseline planning to scheduling to clinical reporting.
Tell us your workforce size, site location, and the noise exposures your team faces. We’ll recommend the right testing schedule, baseline tests for new starters and routine surveillance for at-risk staff.
We coordinate directly with you to minimise downtime. Your mobile unit arrives fully equipped with a calibrated audiometry booth and a qualified technician on board.
Each test takes around 15 to 20 minutes per employee. Most workforces are completed in a single visit, with no need to send anyone off-site.
Categorisation outcomes (HSE Categories 1 to 4), referrals and full compliance records are delivered through the YODHA portal: audit-ready, secure, and accessible anytime.
Every Test. Every Worker. One Visit.
Services Delivered On-Site
Every test is delivered to British Society of Audiology standards, in a calibrated sound-attenuating booth, by a qualified technician. Same clinical quality as a fixed clinic, without the travel.
Legal Obligation
Audiometry Testing Is Required by Law
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 make hearing health surveillance a legal duty for employers wherever workers are exposed to noise at or above the upper action value (85 dB(A)). This sits alongside duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH.
The Business Case
Why Mobile Makes Sense
Sending workers off-site for audiometry costs you hours per person, kills attendance rates, and creates scheduling chaos. Our on-site model fixes all of that.
No half-day absences for clinic visits.
We routinely achieve 95%+.
Most workforces completed in a single appointment per employee.
Same clinical standard as a fixed clinic.

Common Questions
What You Need to Know
Is audiometry testing a legal requirement for my business?
Yes. Under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, employers must provide hearing health surveillance for any worker exposed to noise at or above the upper action value of 85 dB(A), or where the risk assessment indicates a risk to hearing. Failure to comply can result in HSE enforcement action and unlimited fines.
Which roles in my business need audiometry testing?
Anyone working around significant noise. This typically includes construction operatives, manufacturing and production staff, engineers, machine operators, joiners, groundworkers, quarry workers, food production teams, and anyone using power tools, presses, drills or compressors. If your workers are required to wear hearing protection, they almost certainly need audiometry surveillance.
How long does an audiometry test take?
Each test takes around 15 to 20 minutes per employee, including the questionnaire and audiogram. Because our mobile units come fully equipped with calibrated booths, we can typically test a full team in a single da
What space do you need on-site?
Very little. Just somewhere safe to park the mobile unit, with access to power. No dedicated room, no clinic space, no setup required from your end.
How often does audiometry testing need to be repeated?
HSE guidance recommends a baseline test for every new starter in a noise-exposed role, followed by annual tests for the first two years, then routine tests every three years (or annually for high-risk groups or those flagged in earlier categories). We’ll build the right schedule into your programme, and YODHA will flag re-tests automatically.
